Vintage Firestone Tires Porcelain Sign: Extra Large 7 1/2 Feet Long

This is an authentic, vintage Firestone Tires porcelain sign from the 1960's. It is an extra large sign that is 7 and a half feet long. It is in original unrestored condition and has some wear, especially around the outer edges of the sign as pictured, but overall is in excellent condition for a sign that is over 50-years-old. We believe in keeping all vintage signs unrestored because every ding, dent, and in some cases bullet hole is part of the story and history of the collectible. This original vintage advertising sign has a white background, with the word "Firestone" in red lettering across the the sign horizontally. The serial number for the sign is in small red lettering in the lower left corner, and the maker's mark and date are in the lower right corner. Firestone supplied pneumaic tires wagons and buggies in the early 1900s. Harvey was friends with Henry Ford and became the original tire supplier for Ford's first automobiles. Firestore was eventually purchased in 1988 by the Japanese company Bridgestone.
