Vintage Arm & Hammer Sign: Washing Soda, "Refined Crystals"

This rare vintage Arm & Hammer sign is a single sided, masonite litho from the 1940's. This vertically oriented, box shaped, large rectangular sign is 36 inches tall by 24 inches wide. The sign has a white background with navy blue and red graphics and lettering. There are two navy blue pinstripes that go around the outer border of the sign, just inside the edge. The center of the sign has a large Arm & Hammer logo with the surrounding red circle reading "Refined Crystals, Sal Soda" in white lettering. The sign reads "2 1/2 pounds net weight" at the top, and "Church & Dwight Co. Inc., New York, N.Y." at the bottom, both in small navy blue lettering. It also reads "Makes Cleaning Easy" in the top area, and "Softens Hard Water" in the lower area, both in medium sized red letters. Above the logo reads the words "Air & Hammer" and below reads "Washing Soda", both in large navy blue lettering. This classic advertisement is an original hanging sign that was displayed in general stores, and grocery retailers, who sold Arm & Hammer Washing Soda, during the 1940's.
