Chevrolet Neon Dealership Sign: 1949 "Sales/Service" Advertising

This original Chevrolet neon dealership sign is just one of hundreds of collectible automobilia and petroliana collectibles currently for sale from ArtFactory.com. This large, single sided, rectangular shaped (with rounded corners), porcelain enamel sign measures 74 inches wide by 37 inches tall, and is on a 5 inch deep metal can. It is an original Chevy dealership, showroom advertisement from 1949. This sign has a red background with a large blue Chevrolet bowtie logo in the center, and the word "Chevrolet" in white lettering. It reads "Sales/Service" in white lettering at the bottom of the sign. The sign lights up in orange neon around the outer border of the bowtie. All other neon on the sign lights up in white, including the inner border of the bowtie, and around the lettering of all words, and also around the outer edges of the sign itself.

Like all of our collectible signs, this Chevrolet neon dealership sign is sold in original, unrestored condition as pictured. We do not believe in restoring old signs because it is our belief that every ding, dent, and blemish is part of the story and history of the item. All neon restored by our in house glass blowers, who have blown new glass using the same techniques and materials that were used for the original neon. Also, any electrical parts including wiring and solid state transformers have been replaced. The neon features a separate on/off toggle pull cord as pictured.
