This double sided, die cut porcelain enamel sign measures 42 inches at its widest point, and is 116 inches tall including the lollipop style stand, which has a 36 inch diameter cast iron base. This is a white background sign with green lettering that reads "Cities Service". The neon lights up in green around the edges, and the lettering, with the word "Open" lighting up in red just below the main area of the sign. It is an authentic advertisement that was originally displayed at at gas stations in the 1920's. Like all of our collectible signs, it is sold in original, unrestored condition as pictured. We do not believe in restoring old signs because it is our belief that every ding, dent, and blemish is part of the story and history of the item. However, all neon, SOLID STATE TRANSFORMERS, wiring, mounts, and electrical parts have been fully rebuilt or replaced by our experts.
