Retro Rolling Platform Sinclair Gas Station Display – VGS2920

Description

Genuine Artifacts. Era-Correct Architecture. One Complete
American Experience.

This finished Sinclair station demonstrates what ArtFactory.com can create when genuine vintage artifacts, historic photographs, and master craftsmanship are brought together in one complete design.

Built on a 10-foot-wide by 5-foot-deep rolling platform with hidden heavy-duty wheels, the display combines an authentic Sinclair service-station exterior with a finished interior that can serve as a vintage store display, private office, reception area, sales desk, or collector’s retreat.

This is not simply a backdrop. It is a functional place in time — ready to plug and play.

Inspired by a Real American
Sinclair Station

The design began with an old photograph showing a working Sinclair station complete with gasoline pumps, oil displays, advertising, automobiles, attendants, and a large Dino overlooking the property.

Master Builder and Artist H.J. Nick studied the photograph and used it as the foundation for a new station built around genuine artifacts from the ArtFactory.com collection.

Rather than copying the photograph exactly, we captured its spirit, architectural character, proportions, colors, and working-station atmosphere. Every element was then arranged to fit the actual dimensions of the available space and the original artifacts selected for the project.

The finished station does not look like a collection of unrelated antiques. It looks like a genuine Sinclair station that has been carefully lifted out of the American past.

Built Around Genuine
Vintage Artifacts

The station incorporates real pieces of American service-station and roadside history, period-correct service-station graphics and architectural details and artifacts below:

Each artifact was measured before the structure was designed. The station’s roofline, canopy, walls, doorway, display windows, pump position, and advertising locations were developed around the genuine pieces — not the other way around.

An Authentic Exterior With a Working Interior

From the outside, the structure presents a complete vintage Sinclair station with its recognizable green, white, and red color scheme, covered service area, gasoline pump, oil display, period signs, Coca-Cola machine, and rooftop Dino.

Behind the storefront is a finished, usable interior.

The interior can be designed as:

  • A working private office
  • A sales or reception area
  • A collector’s showroom
  • A vintage station store
  • A memorabilia display room
  • A small museum exhibit
  • A cashier or service counter
  • A personal retreat within a larger man cave
  • A themed business or customer-service area

The interior walls can display additional signs, photographs, maps, oil cans, tools, automotive memorabilia, and family or business history. Cabinets, shelving, desks, counters, seating, lighting, and concealed storage can be incorporated according to the owner’s needs.

From the front, visitors see a historic American service station. Inside, the owner has a comfortable and practical room that can be used every day.

The station can be completely assembled, wired, fitted, and tested at ArtFactory.com before delivery.

Lighting, restored signs, vending machines, and electrical accessories can be connected through a planned plug-and-play system. Once delivered and placed in position, the station can be connected to the appropriate electrical service and immediately brought to life.

Heating and Air Conditioning Can
Be Added

For projects requiring year-round comfort, the station can be equipped with a compact heating and air-conditioning system.

A concealed mini-split system or other appropriately sized HVAC equipment can be incorporated into the structure without compromising the historic appearance of the exterior. Electrical service, lighting, switches, receptacles, ventilation, and climate controls can also be planned into the design.

This allows the station to function as a true conditioned office, showroom, or private retreat—not simply as a decorative display.

Depending upon the final location and intended use, available options can include:

  • Air conditioning
  • Heating
  • Interior and exterior lighting
  • Recessed canopy lights
  • Electrical receptacles
  • Dedicated circuits for illuminated signs
  • Data and communication wiring
  • Display lighting
  • Concealed equipment and controls
  • Insulated walls and ceiling
  • Finished interior flooring
  • Lockable doors and storage
  • Ready to Plug In and Play

For installations that must be shipped in sections, the entire project can first be assembled and tested at our factory. It is then carefully disassembled, labeled, photographed, and video-documented for shipment and straightforward reassembly by the owner or local contractor.

This approach allows us to ship complete prefabricated storefronts and station structures worldwide while maintaining control over fit, finish, quality, and historic accuracy.

Built to Move Without Looking Movable

The entire station is supported by a strong rolling platform measuring approximately 10 feet wide by 5 feet deep.

Heavy-duty wheels are concealed beneath the platform so the display can be moved when necessary without compromising its historic presentation. Once positioned, the station appears permanent and architecturally complete.

This makes it ideal for:

  • Private automotive collections
  • Museums
  • Man caves
  • Commercial showrooms
  • Corporate offices
  • Automobile dealerships
  • Restaurants and hospitality spaces
  • Event facilities
  • Collector garages
  • Luxury residences

The station can become the centerpiece of a room, or it can be combined with additional rolling storefronts to create an entire vintage American street.

More Than a Display — A Place You Can Use

A restored gasoline pump displayed alone is an important collectible. Place that same pump beneath an era-correct Sinclair canopy, beside a genuine oil rack and Coca-Cola machine, with an original Dino standing above it, and the collection becomes an experience.

Add a finished interior office or store, and the display becomes a place where the owner can actually work, meet with clients, display a collection, or spend time with friends and family.

It is American history you can walk into, work inside, and enjoy every day.

Your Collection Can Become a
Complete Environment

This Sinclair station represents only one of the many possibilities.

ArtFactory.com can design and build rolling or freestanding environments based on virtually any historic American business or collection, including:

  • Gasoline stations
  • Automobile dealerships
  • Tire and battery stores
  • Diners and drive-ins
  • Soda fountains
  • Grocery and general stores
  • Barbershops
  • Hardware stores
  • Fire stations
  • Motorcycle dealerships
  • Route 66 attractions
  • Family businesses and hometown landmarks

From a Photograph, Drawing,
or Hand Movement to a
Finished Building

You do not need professional plans to begin.

We can work from an old photograph, a rough sketch, a Crayola drawing, the measurements of an existing room, or simply an idea explained with plenty of hand movements.

From that starting point, H.J. Nick and the ArtFactory.com team can develop:

  • The complete design concept
  • Measured plans and elevations
  • Photo-realistic renderings
  • Structural and architectural details
  • Artifact placement
  • Electrical and lighting plans
  • Interior office or display layouts
  • Heating and air-conditioning options
  • Prefabrication and shipping plans

The complete station is then handcrafted, assembled, finished, fitted with its artifacts, wired, and tested by our master craftsmen.

These storefronts can stand alone or be designed to work together as a complete vintage American street.

We can build around artifacts already in your collection, locate appropriate pieces from our inventory, or combine both into one unified design.

Designed by H.J. Nick—Built in America to Last Forever

This Sinclair station was designed by Master Builder and Artist H.J. Nick and created by the master craftsmen of ArtFactory.com.

Since 1913, our work has been founded on traditional craftsmanship, authentic materials, historic knowledge, and the belief that meaningful things should be built to endure.

We do not simply sell vintage artifacts. We restore their history, build the world around them, and return them to a setting where their complete story can be understood.

Not Simply a Display — But an Authentic Place in Time

A finished station. A vintage store. A working office. A museum-quality collection. One complete plug-and-play American experience.

Send us photographs and measurements of your available space, along with images of the artifacts you want to display. Whether you begin with a complete collection or only an idea, we can bring that vision to life.
