Falstaff Beer Neon

This large-format mid-century illuminated neon shadowbox sign is a premier example of classic American brewery advertising. Produced for the Falstaff Brewing Corporation, it features the iconic Falstaff shield and the famous slogan, “The Choicest Product of the Brewers’ Art.

The aesthetic of the sign perfectly mirrors the era of the black leather jacket, Lucky Strike cigarettes, and the slicked-back Ducktail (D.A.) haircut. It is a documentary reflection of a vanished American social landscape.

Museum-Quality Restoration

This piece has undergone a 101-Point H.J. Nick ArtFactory Restoration. Executed to museum standards, the process included:

  • Period-correct neon fabrication (matching original
    gas/color specs).
  • Professional rewiring with modern solid-state transformers
    for safety.
  • Structural stabilization of the steel housing.
  • Certified & Signed: This restoration is documented and certified for its historical accuracy.
  • Provenance: A Journey Through Route 66 History

This vintage Falstaff sign is more than an advertisement; it is a piece of American roadside culture. It was documented and acquired following a 2,200-mile Route 66 journey from California to Illinois.

During the mid-century era....

....local social life revolved around the “Golden Age of the Open Road.” At sixteen, owning a jalopy meant being the designated driver for lake cookouts and rock-and-roll gatherings.

This sign represents that postwar American ethic of independence and friendship.
