Vintage Budweiser Neon Sign: Drink Anheuser-Busch St. Louis MO
This rare, vintage Budweiser neon sign. It is an original 1950's advertisement that was used in bars that served Budweiser beer in that era. This two part sign is an extremely rare find, and is a double sided, genuine porcelain enamel advertising sign. This is an extra large, centerpiece size sign that measures 53 inches at its tallest point, by 48 inches at its widest point, and is 2 inches thick with electrical components housed inside of the sign. The upper part of the sign is die cut, in the shape of Budweiser's bowtie logo, with the stylized Anheuser-Busch "A" in the knot area of the bowtie. This part of the sign lights up in 3 different colors of neon around the border, red, then white, then blue. The stylized "A" lights up in red neon. The lower part of the sign is a rectangular sign with a red background that reads "Drink Anheuser-Busch Budweiser" in the center of the sign, in white lettering with a navy blue border. The word "Drink" lights up in red neon, the words "Anheuser-Busch" light up in blue neon, and the word "Budweiser" lights up in white neon. Below this wording is a white, blue, and red, Anheuser-Busch logo in the lower center with the words "Anheuser-Busch" to the left and "St. Louis MO" to the right, both in smaller white lettering with a navy blue border.
Like all of our collectible signs, this vintage Budweiser neon sign is sold in original, unrestored condition as pictured. This sign has only a few very small dings on the sign face, and some very light chipping to the enamel near the edges at the bottom. This type of damage is extremely common in signs that were displayed outdoors, and would commonly be struck by wind blown items during storms. Other than these minor blemishes, the sign is extremely clean and free of damage, has mostly clean lettering, and most importantly is free of rust. The sign overall is in Excellent (Exl) condition, which is a rare find in itself, and is as clean of an example of this now, over 70-year-old sign, that you will find, that was actually used.

Vintage Budweiser Neon Sign 101 Point Neon And Electrical Restoration Details
We do not believe in restoring damage to porcelain, dings, dents, or even bullet holes on signs, because it is our belief, and the prevailing belief among collectors that this type of wear is part of that item's story. Furthermore, there is no correct way to add new porcelain in a manor that would be consistent with a full museum quality restoration, and attempts at these types of restorations are generally frowned upon in the collector community. The only exception to this rule is when dealing with neon and electrical components, which is why this vintage Budweiser neon sign has underwent a full, 101 point, museum quality neon and electrical restoration. These neon restorations are done under the supervision of, certified, and signed by award winning artist H.J. Nick as meeting all world class fine are qualifications. This certification means each item bearing his signature is backed by over 100 years of manufacturing world class fine art handmade furnishings, and restoring America's finest collectibles to original, museum quality condition. All neon restored by our in house glass blowers, who have blown new glass using the same techniques and materials that were used for the original neon.
