Vintage Stag Beer Neon Bar Sign: H.L Griesedieck Extra Dry Lager

This rare, vintage, heavy metal, porcelain enamel sign is in original condition, that is inside of a black metal frame that surrounds the sign, and had 101 point neon and electrical restoration.

It is an original 1940's era advertisement used at bars that sold Stag Beer. It is horizontally oriented, and rectangular in shape, measuring 52 1/4 inches wide by 16 1/4 inches tall by 6 inches deep including the metal electrical housing can. This vintage Stage Beer Neon sign has a primarily yellow background,with red and black lettering, graphics, and artistic accents. It reads "Stag Beer" in large red with black border lettering, in the center of the sign. The words "Extra Dry Lager" are in black lettering in the upper right corner of the sign, and the signature (also in black) of H.L. Griesedieck. The sign lights up in red neon around the border of the lettering in the words "STAG BEER".  The sign is was manufactured by Zeiser Bros. Sign Co of St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A., per the maker's mark in the lower right corner. The sign features an on/off pull chord so that it can easily be turned on or off without having to unplug it. Furthermore, it also comes with our proprietary, H.J. Nick "Fast Hanger Bar". Like all of our collectible signs, this vintage Stag Beer neon bar sign is sold in original, unrestored condition (as pictured).We do not believe in restoring old signs because it is our belief that every ding, dent, and blemish is part of the story and history of the item. However, this sign is as clean of an example of this sign as you will find on the marketplace, and is in Excellent/Near Mint (Exel/Nr Mt) condition overall, with only some very light chipping at the upper edge of the sign where the screws hold the sign to the metal frame is the only thing keeping this from a full Near Mint grade (we always round down a grade if its close). Other than these barely visible blemishes, the sign is free of damage, has clean lettering, and most importantly is free of rust. Additionally, this item does not appear to have ever been displayed outdoors, as it doesn't have rusting, and does not appear to have been struck by wind blown objects.
