1950's Neon Mobil Pegasus: A Very Rare & Highly Collector Coveted Sign
This is a rare, original, vintage 1950's neon Mobil Pegasus sign for Standard Oil Socony-Vacuum Oil company from 1951 that is currently for sale from ArtFactory.com. This vintage sign is a die cut flying horse Mobil sign with new neon lighting and all solid state transformers. The left facing Mobil Pegasus gas sign is red with white details. This extra large sign is 9 feet wide, and 5 and a half feet tall with on off neon toggle switch. This is authentic roadside advertising that was used at Mobil Gas Stations from the 1950's forward. This vintage 1950's neon Mobil Pegasus sign is in excellent condition as pictured, and is an American iconic artifact from the open road. Like all of our authentic petroliana signs, it is sold in original condition because we feel that these old signs should never be restored entirely and should show their age because it is part of the story and history behind the sign.
