Putnam Dyes-Tints Sign: Orignal 1920's Tin Litho Monroe Chemical

This rare vintage Putnam Dyes-Tints sign is a double sided, tin litho sign from the 1920's, and was the front panel to a three dimensional advertising display from that era. It is an original advertisement for Monroe Chemical Company. This vertically oriented, rectangular sign is 18 1/2 inches tall by 14 1/2 inches wide. The front of the sign has a white background with primarily red and blue lettering, and there is a graphic in the lower left corner of George Washington riding a horse away from the Red Coats. The back of the sign has a white background with black lettering featuring details and instructions for using the product. It will add a statement to your man cave, lady lounge, or restaurant. This sign won't last long, as they are becoming more popular as the years go by, and fewer folks are letting these signs leave their collections.

Like all of our signs, this vintage Putnam Dyes-Tints sign in original, unrestored condition. This sign is the front panel from a three dimension display, and is in Excellent/Very Good (EXL/VG) condition overall, as pictured, and has quite a bit of scratching and certainly shows its age, but is still a very nice example of this early Twentieth-century sign. Furthermore, while it does have significant scratching, it is free of any heavy dings or dents, and does not have any wind blown object damage, or appear to have ever been displayed outdoors. We believe in keeping signs in unrestored condition, because these blemishes are part of the history and story of the item.
