This is an original vintage SOCONY-Vaccuum porcelain sign that was manufactured in the 1940's. It is just one of hundreds of original, collectible petroliana signs currently available from ArtFactory.com. This is sign measures 12 1/2 inches wide by 12 inches tall at its largest points. This authentic advertisement for SOCONY- Vacuum reads "For Friendly Service SOCONY-Vaccum Performance Second To None". It also features the Gargoyle Mobiloil and Mobilgas Pegaus logos. It is a genuine, die cut, shield shaped, single sided, porcelain enamel sign. This SOCONY-Vacuum porcelain sign has a white background on the top half, and red background on the bottom half with a blue outline around the edges of the sign. This sign is highly collector coveted item, as is any item featuring the iconic red flying Pegusus logo. Per the maker's mark, this sign was manufactured in 1941 by Ingersoll Rand of North Carolina.
