This vintage embossed tin, Thirsty Just Whistle sign is an original advertisement used at soda shops and gas stations in the 1940's-1950's. The artwork features 3 gnomes whistling while they work), with 2 of them carrying a large orange sign (the 3rd carrying a hammer) that says "WHISTLE" in blue lettering, with a banner above it that has a white background and blue lettering that reads "Thirsty Just". Per the maker's mark, this sign was manufactured by the Stout Sign Company of St. Louis Missouri in 1948, and is marked with what looks to be a serial number of "T.W.-CO-Mi-2".

Like all of our vintage collectible signs, this vintage Thirsty Just Whistle sign is sold in original unrestored condition, as pictured, because we believe that every ding, dent, and blemish is part of the history of the item. This sign has one major defect (as pictured) as it appears to have been cut at some point in its history (apparently for display or hanging purposes), but is otherwise in excellent condition overall. The sign does have some light scratches and fading as is common with items of this age, but overall clean graphics (except for one small rust spot near the center) on the front. The back is clean overall with some light rusting in on the left side.
