A barbershop is a place for men to converse with other men in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, join in community debates, and maybe get a quick trim off the top and a clean shave. The golden age of these shops was between 1880 and 1950 when they were known as a weekly or daily hangout, and this vintage barber pole from the Paidar Company of Chicago, Illinois is a prime example from that era. It measures 33 inches tall, 14 inches wide (from the wall), and the pole has a 9 inch diameter. We have done a full, 101-point restoration, meaning all parts inside and out (even those that you cannot see) have been fully cleaned and refurbished. It has been signed by award winning artist H.J. Nick as meeting all world class fine art, museum quality specifications, and is has been restored to the original condition that a new item from the manufacture would have come in.
