Vintage Dr. Hess Neon Sign: "Stock & Poultry Preparations Sold Here"

This original vintage Dr. Hess neon sign is just one of hundreds of iconic collectible Americana items currently for sale from ArtFactory.com. This single sided, tin litho sign measures 48 inches wide by 24 inches tall, and is on a 5 inch deep heavy metal can. This is a 3 color sign that features a primarily blue background, with a white border. The center of the sign has a red background with blue lettering that read "Dr. Hess Stock & Poultry Preparations". The upper area of the sign has a blue background with white silhouette style graphics of various farm animals. The lower area of the sign also has a blue background and reads "Sold Here" in white lettering, and there is a white arrow on either side of these words, each pointing back at the letters. The outer edges of the sign, as well as the words "Stock & Poultry Preparations/Sold Here" light up in white neon. The words "Dr. Hess" light up in red neon.  It is an authentic advertisement that was originally displayed at Dr. Hess Authorized Dealers in the 1930's. It was made in the U.S.A.

All neon restored by our in house glass blowers, who have blown new glass using the same techniques and materials that were used for the original neon. Also, any electrical parts including wiring and solid state transformers have been replaced. The neon features a separate on/off toggle pull cord as pictured.and an on/off pull chord as pictured.
