Vintage Morton's Salt Sign: Original 1930's Embossed Tin Litho
This is an original vintage Morton's Salt sign. It is a horizontally oriented, rectangular in shape, and measures 28 inches wide by 10 inches tall. It is a thick, heavy single sided tin litho sign with embossed lettering. It was originally used as advertising at grocery stores and markets in the 1930's. It has a blue background with white lettering, that reads "Morton's Salt, It Pours" with a white border around the edges of the sign. Like all of our vintage tin litho, and porcelain advertising signs, it is sold in original, unrestored condition, as pictured. The sign certainly shows its age, and has quite a bit of wear around the edges, as well as a good amount of fading and some rust spots on the sign face. These types of blemishes are extremely common on signs of this age. We do not believe in restoring these advertisements however, as it is our belief that any dings, dents, and damage are part of that item's unique history.
