Vintage Texaco Visible Gas Pump: American Pump & Tank #2487

The American Model 2487 Gas Pump Is Highly Collector Coveted Due To Its Unique Octagon Shape

This vintage Texaco visible gas pump is a fully restored American Oil & Tank Co. Model #2487, hand operated, 10 gallon pump from the 1920's. At ArtFactory.com our restorations are second to none, because nobody in the business has been doing it longer, or pays as much attention to details. However, if a 101 Point Museum Quality restoration is out of your budget, we also offer PARTIAL RESTORATIONS to NON-WORKING COLLECTIBLE DISPLAY PIECE CONDITION. With these restorations, all parts are cleaned, polished, and the body of the pump is repainted to original period correct color scheme. Pumps can be painted to match any gas station theme that you request. The period correct, Texaco gas station theme also features a reproduction Capco globe light featuring the 1920's era logo, and reproduction full bent, metal belly plate sign, also featuring the 1920's era Texaco logo. Even our partial restorations are supervised by award winning artist H.J. Nick to assure that your pump has a look as close to original as possible. At ArtFactory.com, we have over 100 years experience manufacturing world class fine art handmade furnishings, and restoring America's finest collectibles to original, museum quality condition.

This vintage Texaco gas pump features an original, clear glass 10 gallon tank, as pictured. These pumps were manufactured beginning in the late 1920's, through the early 1930's. However, due to the fact that this company went out of business prior to World War 2, there are no exact records of what dates these pumps were made. The American Oil Pump & Tank Co.'s Model 2487 gas pump is one of the most highly collected models of visible pump due to its octagonal shaped body. The body of the pump is galvanized metal and has been painted Texaco Red to match the reproduction belly plate and globe. The glass gas tank includes original measuring sticks, and a price placard. The pump was originally manufactured by Cincinnati, Ohio, and includes original manufacture model number plates.
