Erie Merit Oil & Grease Equipment
The Erie Meter System company of Erie, Pennsylvania produced oil pumps and dispensers, air compressors and towers, greasing equipment and gas pumps. Originally named Erie Service Station Equipment Company in 1922, they changed their name to Erie Meter System, Inc. in 1927. They made the Model 100 visible pump in 1930 and a large number of Art Deco clock meter gas pumps also in the mid-1930s. Erie Meter System later merged with A.O. Smith Corporation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1955.
