Vintage Texaco Roadside Advertising: 6 Foot Round Sign On 11 Foot Pole
This vintage double sided Texaco sign was used at service stations in the 1950's, and measures 6 Feet in diameter. With the 11-foot-tall metal pole, this displays at a full height of 17 feet. This style and size of sign was notably popular along Historic Route 66, as a form of roadside advertising. It is marked as having been manufactured in October of 1957. The customer chose to had our experts mount the sign and an 11 foot metal pole, as it would have been originally displayed so that passing motorists would be able to see the sign from many miles away. It is one of the truly iconic advertising signs from this era. Due to its extra large size, the double sided roadside signage is extremely rare, and highly collectible.
