Vintage Zerolene Porcelain Sign: Die Cut Oils & Greases Advertisement
This is an original, die cut, vintage Zerolene porcelain sign. It is a thick, heavy porcelain enamel sign, and is a single sided sign that was used as advertising at gas stations and auto repair shops in the 1940's. The sign measures 24 inches at its widest point, by 18 inches at its tallest point. It has a primarily blue background on the main sign face, with white lettering that reads "ZEROLENE Oils & Greases". There is a white border around the edges of the sign, and in the upper left corner is a white and blue polar bear logo graphic. The polar bear is standing on an ice drift that reads "ZEROLENE Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." in small blue lettering. Like all of our signs, it is in original, unrestored condition, and as can be see in the pictures this signs some chipping around the edges and around the hanging holes, but overall is in excellent condition for being nearly 80-years-old.
