Description
Wayne Vintage Visible Gas Pump: 10 Gallon Model 628 Texaco Gas Globe
The Wayne 628 gas pump, released in 1928 was their first electric operated model. Designed with consumer value in mind, and was originally advertised for less than $100. It was touted as being an affordable solution for those who were looking to change from hand operated to power operated equipment.
The pump was designed with the same popular visible bowl, construction, and features as Wayne's popular model 615 hand operated pump. The electric operated, wet host pump, had an operating capacity of up to 24 gallons per minute. It also featured a stainless steel pump shaft and was self priming. Without a doubt, a truly state-of-the-art machine for its time.
