Goodyear Motorcycle Tires Neon Sign: Rare Vintage Automobilia
This original vintage Goodyear Motorcycle Tires neon sign is just one of hundreds of collectible automobilia and petroliana collectibles currently for sale from ArtFactory.com. This double sided, round flange sign, is a porcelain enamel sign that measures ??? inches diameter, and is ??? inches deep including the heavy metal housing can. It is an original Goodyear Motorcycle Tires neon sign, that was an authorized dealer advertisement from the 1930's, and features the iconic winged foot logo in the center. This sign has a primarily yellow background with navy blue in the top and bottom areas. It reads "Motorcycle Tires" in white lettering in the top area, and the bottom reads "Property Of The Goodyear Tire And Rubber Company" in smaller white lettering. There center of the sign has a large Art Deco graphic of a man riding a motorcycle, with the word "Goodyear" above, in navy blue lettering. The famous winged foot Goodyear logo is just above the rider's head, and there is a small flag that reads "Goodyear" in yellow lettering and is a white flag with navy blue triangles. The sign mounts to the wall with a black, heavy metal flange, as pictured. The sign lights up with white neon around the outer border of the sign, as do portions of the motorcycle, it lights up in yellow neon just inside of the white neon, around the sign border, and the winged foot logo also lights up in yellow. The sign lights up with blue neon around the border of the lettering of the word "GOODYEAR", as to portions of the motorcycle.
Like all of our collectible signs, this vintage Goodyear Motorcycle Tires neon sign is sold in original, unrestored condition as pictured. We do not believe in restoring old signs because it is our belief that every ding, dent, and blemish is part of the story and history of the item. This Goodyear Motorcycle Tires neon sign is in incredibly clean condition for a sign of its age, and was almost certainly never displayed outdoors. The sign is almost completely free of any visible wear or blemishes with only some very light chipping around the edges and wear around the hanging grommet areas. The graphics and lettering on the sign all remain clean and readable, making it as nice of an example of this now over 80-year-old item as you will find
