This is a very rare, original Murray Steelcraft Pursuit Pedal Plane from The Steelcraft manufacturing company of Cleveland, Ohio. Aa division of The Murrary-Ohio Manufacturing Company. This antique pedal car is the Pursuit Army Pedal Plane model produced in 1941 before the Steelcraft company stopped production to concentrate on War efforts in 1942. This was the first three-wheel pedal car designed and incorporated the red and blue decals of the Army and Navy as was an instant classic during the war. This pedal car plane design features a moving propeller as the car/plane is pedaled and windshield mounted machine guns making this a favorite classic toy among children during the WWII years.
