Vintage Barber Shop Sign: Original 1950's William Marvy Company

This is an original, 24 inch tall by 15 inch wide, vintage Barber Shop sign that was manufactured by William Marvy Company. It is a thick, heavy single sided, curved porcelain enamel sign, is rectangular in shape, and is vertically oriented. It was originally used as advertising at barber shops, in lieu of a traditional barber pole, and was manufactured in the 1950's. This is an original sign, it features the Willam Marvy, St. Paul, Minnesota, maker's mark in the center of the sign, and in the left corner is marked Number 2418. It has a primarily white background with a blue border, and the famous red, white, and blue barber shop pole pattern. The center of the sign reads "Barber Shop" in large white lettering against a blue background.
