Vintage Neon Firestone Sign: Rare Collectible Porcelain Tire Advertising

This is an authentic, vintage neon Firestone sign from the 1960's. It is an extra large, genuine vintage tin litho sign that is 7 and a half feet long by 18 inches tall, and is on a 5 inch deep heavy metal can. This original advertisement is a horizontally oriented, rectangular strip sign that has a white background, with the word "Firestone" in red lettering across the the sign. It lights but in red neon around the edges of the lettering. The serial number for the sign is in small red lettering in the lower left corner, and the maker's mark and date are in the lower right corner (MCA 12/64), meaning it was made in the U.S.A. by Massillon-Cleveland-Akron Sign Company in December, 1964. Like all of our signs, it is in original, unrestored condition, and as can be see in the pictures this sign shows minor wear and age as pictured. However, it is in overall excellent condition for a sign that is nearly 60-years-old. We believe in keeping signs in unrestored condition, because these blemishes are part of the history and story of the item. However, all neon, SOLID STATE TRANSFORMERS, wiring, mounts, and electrical parts have been fully rebuilt or replaced by our experts. The neon features a separate on/off toggle pull cord as pictured.
